Short runs in small rooms are usually fine with ordinary 16 AWG copper wire.
Install checks
Add extra slack for receiver service loops, stand movement, vertical drops, and rerouting around doors. Use CL2/CL3-rated cable for in-wall runs and keep speaker wire away from power when possible.
